Job summary

IMEG Corporation in Idaho Falls, ID (with Sacramento, CA option) offers a 10-12 week Structural Engineering Intern program for Summer 2027. You will assist in analysis, design, and implementation oversight of structural systems for buildings under the guidance of experienced engineers and consultants.

This paid internship provides hands-on project work, a mentor, and a clear path to full-time opportunities, with exposure to Western markets and IMEG's ESOP culture.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Skilled in AutoCAD and BIM software; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist design portions of projects per code and IMEG standards.
• Research project resources and supporting information.
• Support client relations, project design notebooks, and permanent record documentation.
• Coordinate design and schedule needs with other disciplines and suppliers.
• Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project design progress.
• Review project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check.
• Assist with preparation and issuance of addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and other services as required by the contract services agreement.
