Vanasse Hangen Brustlin Inc. seeks a Structural Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 at our Portland, ME and Augusta, ME offices. The role supports multiple disciplines and involves calculations, analysis, and preparation of construction plans.

You will encounter field data collection, traffic and bridge scoping, and collaborative work with a team of engineers. The position requires pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related studies, with proficiency in Microsoft

Mansioni

• Interact with VHB staff to advance projects in a timely manner.
• Assist with engineering calculations, analysis, and report preparation.
• Assist with completion of conceptual, preliminary, and final construction plans.
• Assist with traffic impact studies, scoping studies, and alternatives analyses.
• Assist with bridge scoping studies and alternatives analysis.
• Perform quantity take-offs and calculations for construction estimates.
• Perform field work and data collection for projects.
