Job summary
VHB's Atlanta, GA office is looking for a Structural Engineering Intern to join our team for the Summer of 2027. You will assist with engineering calculations, analysis, and report preparation, and help complete conceptual, preliminary, and final construction plans, including bridge scoping studies.
Candidates pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related studies with an interest in transportation engineering or structural design are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related studies.
- Interest in transportation engineering, structural design, or a related field.
- MicroStation and OpenBridge Modeler experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Interact with VHB staff to advance projects
- Assist with engineering calculations, analysis, and report preparation
- Assist with conceptual, preliminary, and final construction plans
- Assist with bridge scoping studies and alternatives analysis
- Perform quantity take-offs and calculations for construction estimates
- Perform field investigations and data collection for projects
