Job summary

IMEG Corp in Pasadena, CA is hiring a Structural Engineering Intern for a 10–12 week summer program. The role supports design, analysis, and documentation of structural systems under the guidance of experienced engineers.

You will conduct research, maintain design records, and participate in site observations to support client expectations and project goals. Strong MS Office and AutoCAD/BIM skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years toward a BS in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong interest in design consulting and structural design concepts.
• Proficient with MS Office and communication skills (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural system design for building projects per codes and standards.
• Support engineering analysis, design, and implementation of structural systems.
• Research resources and gather information to support design tasks.
• Maintain project documentation including design notebooks and records.
• Coordinate design activities with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical teams.
• Document design decisions and meetings while monitoring progress.
• Review project documents for accuracy before final check.
• Assist with preparation and issuance of addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and support contract services.
