Valmont Industries is seeking a highly motivated Structural Engineering Intern for the Coatings Division in Valley, NE. You will work with our engineering team to learn best practices, contribute to project goals, and gain exposure to other divisions while on-site this Spring/Summer 2027.

The internship offers hands-on learning, tuition assistance opportunities, and potential for a full-time position after graduation, with a supportive culture focused on growth and collaboration.

Competenze

• Pursuing a Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program.
• Proficiency with CAD applications and converting drawings to 3D models.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Inspect properties to assess existing conditions of foundations and building structures
• Field measure and perform load and capacity calculations

• Determine and obtain planning and/or building regulations approval
• Liaise with relevant professional staff such as architects, engineers, etc.
• Monitor and inspect work undertaken by contractors
• Administer contracts

• Prepare reports, designs and drawings
