Job summary

Valmont is seeking a highly motivated Structural Engineering Intern for the Coatings Division in Omaha, NE, onsite, with a Spring/Summer 2027 start. You will work under the Structural Engineering Manager, learn from PE/S.E., and gain exposure to foundations, load calculations, and materials selection.

The internship offers hands-on project work, tuition assistance, and flexible scheduling, with potential for a full-time position after graduation.

Qualifications

• Rising junior or senior pursuing ABET-accredited Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering degree.
• Major preference: Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Proficiency with CAD applications and MS Office.

• Inspect properties to assess existing conditions of foundations and building structures.

• Determine and obtain planning and/or building regulations approval.
• Liaise with architects, engineers and other professionals.
• Monitor and inspect work by contractors; administer contracts.
