Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern to join the Federal Buildings team in Knoxville, TN or Orlando, FL. You will assist in structural analysis and design, work with engineers and designers, and gain exposure to industry-standard software while being mentored by professionals.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an ABET-accredited Civil/Architectural Engineering program with a structural emphasis and have internship experience.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required; CPT work authorization not eligible.
• Currently enrolled in a Civil or Architectural Engineering degree with emphasis on Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel.
• Previous internship experience in related field.
• Live within commuting distance of Orlando, FL or Knoxville, TN (approx. 50 miles).

Responsibilities

• Assist in structural analysis and design for projects.
• Support project coordination, data collection, and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers across disciplines.
• Gain exposure to STAAD, Navisworks, and Bluebeam workflows.
