KPFF St. Louis is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern to work on a diverse range of projects within a collaborative team. You will gain hands-on experience under licensed engineers and contribute to real design work.

The internship covers educational facilities, healthcare, commercial, industrial, and parking projects, with site visits and construction administration opportunities. You’ll develop practical skills while in school, and join a narrative of excellence.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Civil or Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in structures.
• Completion of at least two design courses (e.g., concrete, steel, wood, or masonry) by the start of the internship.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above in coursework.
• Basic knowledge of structural engineering fundamentals (e.g., free body diagrams, P/V/M diagrams).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist on diverse projects across educational, healthcare, commercial, industrial, parking, and other building types.
• Learn construction administration services and attend site visits.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers on real-world design problems.
• Support documentation and coordination tasks as needed.
