Job summary

KPFF Consulting Engineers is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for 2027 in our Portland office. The internship provides hands-on exposure to design tasks, drawing coordination, site visits, and construction administration under seasoned engineers.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in civil/structural engineering and plan to advance to a Master’s degree. In-office presence is required; housing stipend and benefits are offered as part of the program.

Qualifications

• Desire to become a structural engineer after completing education.
• Completed B.S. in civil engineering with structural emphasis; pursuing M.S.
• Strong grasp of engineering fundamentals.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Strong technical and organizational abilities.
• Strong research and information gathering skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn day-to-day knowledge and skills to become a structural engineer.
• Work alongside experienced structural engineers to develop as a professional.
• Perform design tasks, drawing coordination, site visits, and construction administration as assigned.
