Job summary

KPFF Consulting Engineers offers a summer Structural Engineering Intern position in California. You will work with experienced engineers on real-world projects, gaining hands-on experience in design, analysis, and construction while contributing ideas to improve efficiency and integrity.

The role provides exposure to structural modeling with Revit, RAM, and RISA, site visits, and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor's in Civil or Architectural Engineering with structures emphasis.
• Completion of at least 90 credits including two+ design courses by internship start.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA in Bachelor's coursework.
• Basic knowledge of structural engineering fundamentals (e.g., FBD, P/V/M).
• Effective written and verbal communication; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with seasoned engineers on design, analysis, and construction phases.
• Perform structural analysis, simulations, and calculations using Revit, RAM, and RISA.
• Assist in creating structural drawings and specifications in Revit.
• Participate in site visits and inspections to gain practical insights.
