Job summary

HDR is seeking student engineers in Civil/Structural programs to join the Transportation Business Group for real-world design experience on highway, bridge and rail projects, mentored by industry leaders.

You will apply standard engineering techniques under supervision, gain CAD familiarity, and grow in a collaborative, inclusive culture that values fresh ideas and community impact.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Civil/Structural Engineering program.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication skills and basic Microsoft Office.

Primary Responsibilities

• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager

Preferred Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Civil Engineering or structural engineering related program
• CAD knowledge and skills
• Either Steel or Concrete Design coursework completed
• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
• Strong preference given to local candidates
