Job summary

Lvi-Associates in Aurora, IL is seeking a Structural Engineer to serve as the technical backbone of our water and wastewater equipment output. This full-time, on-site role focuses on analysis, design, and stamping of custom equipment to meet project requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a structural engineering degree, SE license preferred or PE-qualified, and strong knowledge of codes, CAD tools, and structural analysis software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Structural or Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
• SE licensure ideal; PE-qualified engineers considered.
• Strong knowledge of structural codes and experience with analysis software and CAD.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for equipment, frames, supports, foundations and related systems.
• Review, stamp and seal custom designs to ensure soundness prior to release.
• Propose design revisions to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings and specs.
• Collaborate with mechanical, process and project teams for integrated designs.
• Support project execution by answering technical queries and reviewing submittals.
• Contribute to continuous improvement on design efficiency and manufacturability.
