Job summary

LVI Associates in Aurora, IL, seeks a Structural Engineer to join our team focused on water and wastewater equipment. This full-time, on-site role serves as the technical backbone of our structural output and offers growth as the team expands.

You will perform structural analysis, stamp designs, review calculations, and collaborate with mechanical, process, and project engineers to deliver reliable, constructible solutions. PE/SE licensure is preferred, licensure support provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with structural emphasis.
• SE license preferred; PE-qualified candidates considered.
• Solid background in structural design; water/wastewater experience a bonus.
• Working knowledge of structural design codes and CAD/analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for equipment, frames, supports, foundations and related systems across our product line.
• Review, stamp and seal custom project designs to ensure structural soundness before release.
• Make design revisions and evaluations to improve designs and reduce cost while meeting contract requirements.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with mechanical, process and project engineering teams for integrated designs.
• Support project execution by answering technical queries, reviewing submittals and providing clarification.
• Contribute to continuous improvement work focused on design efficiency, manufacturability and cost reduction.
