Job summary

Water Works Engineers in the United States seeks a Professional Engineer with a structural focus to lead design efforts for water, wastewater, and recycled water facilities across the Western U.S. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, ensure code-compliant and safe structures, and interact with clients and regulators throughout projects.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in structural engineering, PE licensure, and proficiency with RISA/SAP2000, AutoCAD, and Revit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited program.
• 7+ years of experience in structural engineering; water/wastewater facilities preferred.
• PE license in any US state; ability to obtain reciprocity in Utah/Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to structural design of buildings and water-related infrastructure, including calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Serve as a technical expert on structural aspects of multidisciplinary projects, collaborating with other engineering disciplines.
• Prepare and review design documentation for regulatory approvals, building permits, and construction submittals.
• Develop and manage cost estimates and structural scopes within project budgets.
• Perform QA/QC for structural deliverables to ensure accuracy and code compliance.
• Support construction phase services including site inspections and RFI responses.
• Mentor junior engineers and staff; share knowledge to support team development.
