Job summary

Halff is actively seeking a Structural Engineer in Richardson, TX, with a Texas PE license and 4+ years of structural/bridge experience. The role focuses on delivering diverse structural projects, producing detailed drawings, and coordinating with clients and engineers, with opportunities for growth and ownership in the firm.

The position emphasizes design across hydraulic structures, walls, and bridges, along with training junior staff and CAD support.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree required for Civil/Architectural Engineering.
• Master’s degree with structural emphasis preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in Structural Engineering Design.
• Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• MicroStation, Revit or AutoCAD training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design a variety of structural projects including hydraulic structures, retaining walls, and vehicular bridges.
• Manage production of construction drawings for own work.
• Review contractor submittals during construction.
• Coordinate with clients and in-house engineers.
• Assist in training less experienced staff.
• Provide CAD assistance when necessary.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Architectural Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree

Master’s Degree in Civil/Architectural Engineering with a Structural emphasis or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree preferred
