Job summary

LVI Associates in Philadelphia seeks a licensed Structural Engineer (PE) to lead analysis, design, and rehabilitation projects across the region. You’ll advance from hands-on technical work toward project management and client leadership, mentoring junior staff, and coordinating with architects, contractors, and owners.

Qualifications

• PE license in Pennsylvania or eligible via reciprocity.
• 5+ years of structural engineering experience in consulting/design.
• Proficiency with RAM/STAAD/ETABS/RISA; BIM workflows a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for diverse building and support projects using steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and other materials.
• Develop engineering calculations, technical reports, and design documents.
• Prepare construction drawings, details, specifications, and related deliverables.
• Review shop drawings and respond to contractor inquiries; support construction-phase services.
• Conduct site visits across Philadelphia region to document conditions and observe progress.
• Evaluate existing structures and develop retrofit/repair solutions.
• Participate in forensic investigations and structural assessments as needed.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, owners, and other stakeholders throughout project development.
