Job summary

Jobot in Philadelphia is seeking a licensed Senior Structural Engineer to lead the design and documentation of complex building projects. You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with architects and contractors, and own critical project decisions from concept through construction.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience in structural engineering, PE or SE licensure, and a track record on healthcare, higher education, life sciences, or other institutional projects. Hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Civil Engineering with Structural concentration or related field.
• Active PE or SE license required.
• 5+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience with complex commercial or institutional projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of local and national codes and standards.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software; knowledge of Revit/AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and documentation for complex building projects.
• Develop conceptual designs and evaluate structural systems.
• Establish design criteria and perform code research.
• Develop and manage work plans, schedules, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP, and other disciplines.
• Mentor junior engineers and monitor budgets and schedules.
• Maintain knowledge of codes, standards, and best practices.
• Provide site support during construction and issue resolution.
