Job summary

STV's Buildings Division in Philadelphia invites an Engineer Structural with 5 years of experience to join our team. This role offers responsibility for leading design efforts on building and infrastructure projects and growing within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.

You will design structural systems for a diverse portfolio, perform analyses, prepare drawings and specs, and coordinate with architects and engineers throughout all project phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 5 years of structural engineering design experience for multiple facility types.
• Proficiency with Revit and structural analysis software (RAM, ETABS, RISA).
• EIT certification required; PE license or pursuit preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design structural systems for new construction, renovation, and rehabilitation projects.
• Perform structural calculations, analyses, and code compliance reviews.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, reports, and supporting docs.
• Utilize Revit/AutoCAD and analysis software for design and coordination.
• Coordinate with architects, civil, MEP engineers and other disciplines.
• Conduct field investigations, site assessments, and construction support.
• Review documents for quality and code conformance.
• Assist with scheduling, budgeting, and technical coordination.
• Participate in client meetings and team discussions.
• Mentor entry-level engineers while advancing toward leadership.
