Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a licensed Structural Engineer (PE) to join its New York team. The role offers hands-on technical work with opportunities to advance into project management and client interaction.

The candidate will perform design and analysis across various materials, prepare reports and drawings, and participate in investigations while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York is required.
• 5+ years of structural engineering experience in a consulting or design environment.
• Strong background in structural calculations, analysis, and construction documentation.
• Experience using structural analysis and design software; BIM experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for building and support structure projects using steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and other materials.
• Develop engineering calculations, technical reports, and design documentation.
• Prepare construction drawings, details, specifications, and related deliverables.
• Review shop drawings and respond to contractor inquiries during construction.
• Conduct site visits to document conditions and observe progress.
