Job summary

Dashiell, part of Quanta Services, seeks a Structural Engineer to design and support high voltage substations and transmission projects from its Madison, WI office. You will work with project leads, client representatives, and vendors to develop civil and structural designs and drawings.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, PE licensure within a year, and at least 3 years of concrete and structural steel experience, with familiarity with relevant standards. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university, or equivalent degree with experience in the Civil Engineering field.
• Must be a licensed professional engineer, or able to obtain licensure within one year of hire.
• Direct experience and proven knowledge in concrete and steel structural engineering is required.
• A minimum of three years of direct experience and proven knowledge in concrete and structural steel engineering is required.
• Experience in the electric utility industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create or modify all civil and structural design documents for projects.
• Develop steel and foundation detail drawings.
• Apply engineering software for the design of structural steel and foundations.
• Ensure correct application of standards (NESC, ASCE, IBC, AISC, ACI).
• Travel to other offices or site locations as required.
• Coordinate with project team and clients to ensure timely delivery.
