Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years' engineering experience.
• Professional Engineering license preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving history.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally with KE design and project teams, customer representatives, vendors, subcontractors, and external engineering partners to ensure projects timelines are met.
• Serve as SME for design and constructability of foundations, load carrying members, materials, fasteners, and coatings.
• Engage with stakeholders to align design of PV, battery storage, and substation systems including foundations, racking, and equipment pads.
• Perform load analysis, foundation sizing, corrosion analysis using CAD/engineering software such as BlueBeam, AutoCAD, MathCad or Ansys.
• Establish and verify construction or installation standards for mechanical systems.
• Ensure compliance with vendor, customer and internal requirements by controlling design documentation.
• Generate test plans, compile data, and write reports for engineering projects and studies.
• Review specifications for purchases of structural/mechanical equipment and materials.
• Work with the team to design and execute complex projects under team lead guidance.
• Manage project problems to maintain schedules, cost, and quality.
• Conduct onsite visits to review mechanical/structural systems to support solutions.
• Foster strategic relationships with partners through technical engagement.
• Interface with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and manufacturers for information exchange.
• Manage project files, drawings, documents and records in the database.
