Job summary

Knobelsdorff is seeking a Structural Engineer to design, analyze, and optimize systems for solar energy and battery storage projects. You will collaborate with design and project teams, ensuring timelines and standards are met, while contributing to innovative mechanical solutions.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or structural engineering and 3+ years of experience, with a PE license preferred and proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit; a valid driver’s license and background check

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally with KE design and project teams to meet timelines.
• Serve as SME for design and constructability of foundations, load carrying members, materials, fasteners, coatings.
• Engage stakeholders to achieve design of mechanical and structural aspects of PV, BESS, and substations.
• Perform load analysis and foundation sizing using CAD/engineering software such as AutoCAD, MathCAD, ANSYS.
• Establish construction standards and ensure compliance with vendor and client requirements.
• Generate test plans, compile data, and write reports for engineering projects.
