Job summary

Knobelsdorff (KE) is seeking an Electrical Design professional to support utility-scale solar and BESS projects. You will oversee electrical deliverables, ensure design quality, and maintain alignment with project scope, schedule, and cost.

Travel to project sites is possible for coordination and field issue resolution. The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering, 1–2 years in solar design, and proficiency with AutoCAD, PVCase, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent education/experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in solar or power systems design.
• Working knowledge of NEC and renewable energy standards.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PVCase, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design progression from preliminary design through IFC and construction phases.
• Review and validate electrical design outputs including conductor schedules and layouts.
• Serve as SME for electrical design and constructability across AC/DC/ MV systems.
• Provide technical guidance to internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Preconstruction, Estimating, Procurement, and Operations teams.
