Job summary

Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) seeks an experienced Structural Engineer to join our national practice focusing on seismic assessment and repair of existing buildings. You will conduct site investigations, lead design teams, and manage budgets while collaborating with clients and mentors.

Qualifications

  • MS in Structural Engineering required.
  • PE license required; structural license preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct structural evaluations and repair design for concrete, steel, masonry, and wood structures.
  • Prepare drawings and specifications; manage budgets and schedules.
  • Mentor junior staff and interact with clients on projects.
  • Plan site investigations and document existing conditions.
  • Lead construction-administration tasks and bid support.
  • Prepare technical reports and construction documents.
  • Travel to remote job sites as needed.
