Job summary

GAI Consultants is seeking an Engineer 1 (Structural) to support our Power and Industry Business Sector. The position offers a hybrid schedule based out of Cranberry, PA.

The engineer will serve as a structural engineer and project/task manager for structural projects across industrial, power, utility, government, healthcare, education, and commercial clients. Responsibilities include performing structural analysis/design, coordinating with engineering and drafting staff, preparing calculations

Qualifications

• Perform structural analysis/design per engineering standards and applicable codes.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and profitability of projects.
• Prepare site reports, design narratives, meeting minutes, and project memorandums.
• Mentor junior staff and perform QA/QC peer reviews.
• Independently conduct structural field condition assessments.
• Collaborate with other leads for resource/schedule management.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis/design and preparation of drawings and specifications per engineering standards and applicable codes, including reinforced concrete and structural steel.
• Project and task management to deliver scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and profitability.
• Proposal preparation and budget/scope development.
