Job summary

GAI Consultants Inc. in Cranberry, PA, is seeking an Engineer 1 (Structural) to support our Power and Industry Business Sector. This role leads structural tasks for industrial, power, and commercial clients, with a hybrid schedule.

You will perform analyses, develop drawings, manage small to medium projects, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with drafting teams. A PE license and 4+ years of experience are preferred, with emphasis on design per ACI/AISC standards.

Qualifications

• Perform structural analysis/design and preparation of drawings and specifications per engineering standards (ACI/AISC).
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and profitability for projects.
• Draft site reports, design narratives, meeting minutes, and project memorandums.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with other structural leads for QA/QC.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and manage small to medium projects and multiple tasks.
• Coordinate with engineering and drafting staff to develop deliverables.
• Conduct structural field condition assessments and site visits as needed.
• Engage in bid/construct phase services including RFI responses and submittals.
• Support proposals and budgeting for engineering projects.
