Job summary

GAI Consultants is seeking an Engineer 1 (Structural) to support our Power and Industry Business Sector. This hybrid role is based out of Cranberry, PA and involves leading structural tasks for industrial, power, utility, and government clients.

The engineer will perform analyses, prepare drawings, manage scope and budgets, and mentor junior staff, with field assessments and QA/QC emphasized throughout.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of structural engineering experience.
• B.S. or M.S. in Engineering required; P.E. licensed.
• Ability to manage projects and coordinate with staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis/design and drawings per codes and standards.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality for projects.
• Coordinate with engineering and drafting staff on deliverables.
• Lead QA/QC reviews and mentor junior staff.
• Conduct field condition assessments and site visits.
• Prepare reports, meeting minutes, and design narratives.
