Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our growing team in Charlotte, NC. The role involves independently performing structural designs under guidance from a Principal or Senior PM, with knowledge of concrete, steel, and timber.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural engineering.
• E.I.T. certification required; newly licensed P.E. encouraged.
• 3-8 years of experience with a variety of structural systems and materials including concrete, steel, wood, and masonry.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural calculations using engineering fundamentals and applicable building codes.
• Utilize a range of engineering software tools to support CAD and analysis.
• Attend on-site meetings and conduct inspections during various stages of construction.
• Draft formal written reports summarizing field observations and construction progress.
• Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the design and construction process.
