Job summary

RESPEC is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer (PE) to join our engineering team in multiple locations across the United States. The role focuses on design, analysis, and rehabilitation of structures for hospitals, schools, and commercial buildings, collaborating with architects and engineers.

The ideal candidate has a PE license and 8–10+ years of structural design experience with RISA/STAAD/SAP. Travel to project sites may be required; dynamic, team-focused environment offered.

Qualifications

• MS in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis.
• Professional Engineering registration (PE).
• Experience in steel, wood, concrete, and precast/prestressed concrete design.
• Minimum 8-10+ years of experience in structural engineering.
• Knowledge of construction practices and methods.
• Experience with structural analysis software (RISA/STAAD/SAP).
• Ability to prepare plans, specs, and design calculations while interpreting codes.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Support new construction, investigations, and renovations with engineers and architects.
• Prepare structural plans, calculations, and details; conduct construction observations.
• Collaborate across multiple offices on diverse projects across the nation.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and standards.
