Job summary

RESPEC in Denver is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer (PE) to join our engineering team on a range of projects nationwide including hospitals, schools, and high-profile commercial buildings.

The engineer will interpret codes, prepare structural plans and details, and perform construction observations in collaboration with architects and civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers. 8–10+ years' experience and PE licensure are preferred.

Qualifications

• MS in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis.
• PE registration is required.
• 8–10+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience in steel, wood, concrete, and precast/prestressed concrete design.
• Knowledge of construction practices and methods.
• Experience with plans, specifications, and design calculations.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support new construction, structural investigations, and rehabilitations/renovations.
• Interpret building codes and apply standards to designs.
• Prepare structural plans and details and conduct construction observations.
• Collaborate with architects and civil/mechanical/electrical engineers to meet stakeholders' expectations.
