RESPEC is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer (Structural) to join our Denver, Colorado office. The role blends strategic business development with senior engineering, including client-facing engagements and leading multiple projects across infrastructure and energy sectors.

Ideal candidates hold an MS in Civil Engineering with a P.E. license and 15+ years in structural practice, with strong leadership and software skills (RISA, SAP, STAAD, RAM).

Qualifications

• MS in Civil Engineering with focus on Structural Design.
• Professional Civil Engineer License.
• 15+ years of progressive structural engineering practice.
• Experience leading strategic business development initiatives in a structural engineering firm.
• Experience leading and managing a team of engineers.
• Knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and techniques applicable to project planning, modeling, design, and construction.
• Experience presenting engineering-related items to clients, boards, public officials, and other outside stakeholders.
• Familiarity with 3D structural analysis software (RISA 3D, SAP, STAAD, RAM).

Responsabilités

• Develop, build, and manage relationships with strategic partners and customers to create a project pipeline.
• Maintain current client relationships and facilitate continued joint project opportunities.
• Identify pursuits and position market sector to secure new business.
• Collaborate with internal market sectors to develop joint pursuits and cross-sell to clients.
• Lead business development opportunities, oversee client management, and negotiate scope and fees.
• Lead design and project management efforts to ensure successful project completion.
• Prepare project communications and participate in design progress meetings.
• Interpret building codes and standards and prepare structural plans and details.
• Analyze structures using computer analysis programs and prepare design calculations.
• Complete structural detailing for construction drawings and review shop drawings.
• Visit project sites for construction administration.
