RESPEC, a 100% employee-owned firm, seeks a Structural Engineer (PE) to join our multi-location team. You will design and analyze structural systems for hospitals, schools, and commercial buildings nationwide, collaborating with architects and engineers across disciplines.

Qualifications

• MS in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis.
• Professional Engineering registration.
• Experience in steel, wood, concrete, and precast/prestressed concrete design.
• Knowledge of construction practices and methods.
• Minimum 8-10+ years of experience in structural engineering.
• RISA, STAAD, SAP, or similar Structural Analysis Software experience.
• Experience with preparing plans, specifications, and design calculations.
• Self-motivated, energetic, and able to take on new tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Detail oriented and well organized with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for new construction, investigations, and renovations.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and design calculations.
• Interpret building codes and standards, conduct observations for projects.
• Collaborate with architects and civil/mechanical/electrical engineers to meet stakeholder needs.
