Job summary

MS Technology, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer to support government and commercial nuclear projects through planning, design, analysis, and construction support in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

You will perform structural analysis and design for building and non-building structures, develop engineering deliverables, and ensure QA compliance. The ideal candidate has a BS in Civil or Structural Engineering (ABET), at least three years of related experience, and proficiency with STAAD.Pro or

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Minimum of three (3) years of related structural engineering experience.
• Experience with structural analysis and design and a strong understanding of applicable engineering codes and standards.
• Experience preparing and reviewing engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Experience utilizing structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro or GTSTRUDL.
• Strong technical communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a part-time support role.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Support structural engineering and multi-disciplinary design projects during planning, design, and construction phases.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, and specifications for seismic and wind analyses and foundation design.
• Perform structural analysis using hand calculations and FEA software.
• Coordinate design efforts with other disciplines, project teams, and stakeholders.
• Provide engineering support during construction, including submittals and RFIs.
