Job summary

SOCOTEC is seeking a structural engineer to assist in structural investigations, analyses, and repair design. Responsibilities include review of designs for code compliance, structural analysis, documentation, and on-site data collection with potential multi-day travel.

The role requires 2–4 years of experience, a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering (MS preferred), and valid travel ability. Regular office attendance is expected; BIM/AutoCAD skills are needed; EIT preferred with PE a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
• BS in Civil/Structural Engineering; MS preferred.
• EIT preferred; PE a plus.
• AutoCAD and structural analysis software required; BIM a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel including multi-day site inspections.

Responsibilities

• Review designs for code compliance.
• Structural analyses and root-cause evaluation.
• On-site inspections and data collection; multi-day travel may be required.
• Prepare reports and repair details.
• Regular attendance in the office.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
