Job summary

SOCOTEC US is seeking a structural engineer to assist with investigations, analyses, and repair design. Responsibilities include reviewing designs for code compliance, performing structural analyses, and conducting on-site data collection with multi-day travel.

The role requires regular office attendance and collaboration with senior leadership on client engagements. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of structural engineering experience, a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering (MS preferred), and

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering; Master of Science preferred.
• EIT certification preferred; progress toward PE is a plus.
• Experience with AutoCAD and computer-aided analysis/design of structures is required; BIM experience is a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are also required.
• Ability to travel, including multi-day travel for site inspections to other parts of the country.

Responsibilities

• Review of structural designs for code compliance.
• Structural analysis, document review, and research for root cause evaluation.
• On-site inspections and data collection; site inspections may require multi-day travel to other parts of the country.
• Preparation of reports and repair details.
• Regular attendance in the office.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.
