Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Summer Intern in Structural Engineering (Transmission Line) to contribute to infrastructure challenges across design, analysis, and drafting. Chosen candidates will relocate to Ann Arbor, MI; Orlando, FL; Raleigh, NC; or Seven Hills, OH.

This paid internship requires current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program with a structural emphasis; no prior experience is required, and onboarding may include background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• No experience required; enrolled in ABET‑accredited Civil Engineering program.
• Preferred emphasis in Structural Engineering; at least one design course.
• Must be able to complete pre-employment checks (background, drug screen, MVR).

Responsibilities

• Support development of design specifications and contract drawings.
• Perform analyses, report production, and design tasks.
• Prepare basic calculations.
• Organize and file project materials and references.
