Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Structural Engineer Summer Intern to contribute to transmission line projects across multiple U.S. offices. This internship offers hands-on experience in design, analysis, and collaboration with our engineers on real-world infrastructure challenges.

• No prior experience required.
• Active enrollment in ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program with Structural emphasis.
• Able to complete onboarding including background check and drug screening if selected.
• Preference for at least one design course.

Responsibilities

• Support development of design specifications and contract drawings.
• Perform tasks to support engineering analyses, report production, and designs.
• Prepare basic calculations.
• Analyze systems using computer modeling.
• Organize and file project materials and references.
