Job summary

Black & Veatch offers a Structural Engineer (Transmission Line) Summer Intern opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure projects. Chosen candidates may relocate or work in Denver, CO, Rancho Cordova, CA, or Tualatin, OR.

No prior experience is required; enrollment in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program with a Structural emphasis is expected, with at least one design course preferred. onboarding requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Enrollment in ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• At least 1 design course preferred.
• Must complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, MVR search) if selected.

Responsibilities

• Support development of design specifications and contract drawings.
• Perform analyses, report production, and designs.
• Prepare basic calculations.
• Analyze systems using computer modeling.
• Organize and file project materials and references.
