Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies invites applications for a Structural Engineer (Transmission Line) Summer Intern. You will work on meaningful infrastructure projects and gain hands-on experience across design, modeling and documentation.

Chosen candidates may relocate to Ann Arbor, MI, Orlando, FL, Raleigh, NC, or Seven Hills, OH to join our in-office team. No prior internship required; enrollment in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program with a Structural emphasis is preferred.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Current enrollment in ABET accredited university in Civil Engineering program with a preferred emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Preference in coursework is at least 1 design course.

Responsibilities

• Support development of design specifications and contract drawings.
• Perform variety of tasks to support engineering analyses, report production, and designs.
• Prepare basic calculations.
• Analyze systems utilizing computer modeling.
• Organize and file project materials and references.
