Job summary

RRC Power and Energy in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Structural Engineer I to support design and analysis for energy projects across the U.S. and Canada. You will assist senior engineers, review drawings, and model structures using finite element methods.

The role requires a ABET-accredited Bachelor's in Civil or Structural Engineering, 0–3+ years of experience, and completion of the FE exam with a path toward licensure. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's in Civil or Structural Engineering (required); Master's preferred.
• 0–3+ years engineering experience.
• Successful completion of the FE exam (EIT) is required with licensure goal.
• Prior energy industry experience preferred but not required.
• Interest in reinforced concrete.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers with design tasks and learn project processes.
• Review fabrication shop drawings and project documents for errors.
• Model structures using finite element methods for design.
• Review design codes to apply appropriate standards.
• Prepare calculations, reports, design packages, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to support project execution.
