Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Must hold NC EI or be in process of obtaining certification.
• 0–2 years experience in structural engineering design.
• Strong math, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience with wood, structural steel, and reinforced concrete design, or relevant coursework.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project specifications are met.
• Obtain relevant information at onsite consultations and field meetings, use field data for problem solving and design changes during construction.
• Interpret sealed engineering drawings and confirm compliance with field framing.
• Incorporate wood, reinforced concrete, and steel into designs.
• Develop and implement structural system designs using AutoCAD.
• Prepare construction documentation for new plans and reports for field work and inspections.
