Job summary

Apollo Technical is seeking a Structural Engineer to join the Raleigh, NC area team. You will collaborate with architects, contractors and other professionals to ensure project specifications are met on additions, remodels and luxury homes.

Proficiency with AutoCAD is essential. You will obtain site data at consultations and field meetings, interpret sealed drawings for field framing, and help design using wood, steel and reinforced concrete.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• NC EI licensure or in process of EI certification.
• 0–2 years of structural engineering design experience.
• Strong math, analytical, communication, and writing skills.
• Experience with wood, structural steel and reinforced concrete design, or related coursework.
• AutoCAD experience.

Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Structural Engineer in the Raleigh NC area

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project specifications are met. Projects range from additions to historical remodels to new high end luxury homes.
• Obtain relevant information at onsite consultations and field meetings, use field collected data for problem solving and design changes during construction.
• Interpret sealed engineering drawings and confirm compliance with field framing
• Incorporate wood, reinforced concrete, and steel into designs.
• Develop and implement structural system designs using AutoCAD
• Prepare construction documentation for new plans and reports for field work and inspections

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Must hold NC EI or have passed EI exam and be in process of obtaining certification.
• 0 to 2 years experience in structural engineering design.
• Candidate must have strong math, analytical skills, communication, writing skills with an understanding of structural engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with wood, structural steel, and reinforced concrete design, or has completed courses related to these materials
• AutoCAD experience
