Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Civil Engineer with a focus on structural engineering to contribute to dam, hydraulic structure, energy storage and generating facility projects. You will assist in analysis, design, and documentation under guidance from project managers and lead engineers across the United States.

The role emphasizes rigorous technical writing, accurate design calculations, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Structural) is required.
• Strong analytical and research skills; able to communicate with engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Ability to work independently or in a team, manage multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic professional structural engineering work related to dams, hydraulic structures, energy storage and generating facilities.
• Collaborate with project managers and lead engineers on dam safety and energy projects.
• Prepare or review design calculations, design criteria documents, and studies.
• Prepare or review field work plans, construction activities, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Prepare or review construction and bid specifications and drawings.
• Prepare or review written reports and participate in site inspections across the United States.
• Complete training on assigned tasks and adhere to company policies.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
