Schnabel Engineering, Inc. in Seattle seeks a mid-level Civil Engineer with a structural emphasis to join our dam engineering team.

The role offers design, analysis and assessment of dams, spillways, gates and hydraulic structures, collaborating with civil, geotechnical, hydraulic, and mechanical engineers across a national practice. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment, contribute to complex dam projects, and travel as needed.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 5+ years of civil engineering experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer and ability to obtain reciprocity.
• Experience designing dams, spillways, gates, and related hydraulic structures.
• Knowledge of dam safety design methodologies and US codes.

Responsabilidades

• Perform structural analysis and prepare design calculations.
• Develop construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Create structural models using finite element software.
• Refer to industry standards and building codes (ASCE 7, ACI 318, ACI 350, IBC, USACE).
• Assist with responding to submittals and questions during construction.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and CAD designers across offices.
• Occasional travel to project sites may be required.
