Job summary

PRIME AE Group is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team in OH offices (Columbus, Cleveland, Akron) with opportunities across multiple markets. You will contribute to the analysis, design, and delivery of structural systems for diverse projects, collaborating with experienced engineers, architects, and multidisciplinary teams.

You will work on new construction, renovations, and restoration projects, applying knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry, and timber, while developing leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required or equivalent.
• 3–7 years of structural engineering experience.
• EIT/EI certification required; PE or SE licensure preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal project exposure.
• Experience designing structural systems with steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, timber, and other systems for new construction, renovations, and additions.
• Prepare calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction documents in line with codes and standards.
• Develop structural models, plans, sections, details, and project documentation using Revit and related software.
• Coordinate structural designs with architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other disciplines.
• Participate in field investigations, condition assessments, and evaluations of existing structures.
• Support construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittals review, and field issue resolution.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and staff as appropriate.
• Occasional travel for project meetings, assessments, and construction observations.
