Job summary

PRIME AE Group, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our growing team serving multiple markets from our Ohio offices (Columbus, Akron, Cleveland) and Jacksonville, FL.

You will analyze, design, and deliver structural systems for diverse projects, collaborating with architects and engineers throughout the project lifecycle. The role offers growth in design leadership, field experience, and exposure to DoD, education, healthcare, and commercial facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architectural Engineering required.
• 3–7 years of structural engineering experience.
• EIT/EI certification required; PE or Structural Engineer licensure preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Experience designing structural systems utilizing steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
• Knowledge of building codes and design standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, timber, and other structural systems for new construction, renovations, and additions.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction documents.
• Develop structural models, plans, sections, details, and project documentation using Revit and other software.
• Coordinate structural designs with architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other disciplines.
• Participate in field investigations, condition assessments, and evaluations of existing structures.
• Support construction administration activities, including RFIs and submittals; assist with field issue resolution.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, architects, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control; mentor junior staff.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering
