Job summary

PRIME AE Group, Inc. in multiple Ohio locations (Columbus, Cleveland, Akron) and Jacksonville, FL seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead complex design and delivery of structural systems across a diverse portfolio.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architectural Engineering is required; Master’s preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is required; Structural Engineer (SE) license is preferred.
Minimum 8 years of structural engineering and design experience in a consulting environment.
Experience leading projects involving steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and timber.
Proficiency with structural analysis/design software such as Revit, RAM, Enercalc, and RISA.
Experience supporting federal, public sector, education, wastewater, industrial, restoration, or similar projects preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead structural analysis and design for new construction, renovations, additions, and facility assessments.
Design, analyze, and specify structural systems including steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
Prepare calculations, technical reports, specs, and construction documents.
Coordinate design with architecture, MEP, civil, and other disciplines.
Mentor junior engineers and manage project teams through design and construction phases.
Provide QA/QC and project coordination to ensure client satisfaction and code compliance.
