Job summary

Conrad Consulting Ltd., partnered with a structural engineering consultancy in New York City, seeks a Structural Engineer with 2-4 years of experience. You will work on a variety of building projects, performing analyses and design across steel, concrete, masonry and timber.

The role involves coordination with architects and contractors, site visits, and progression toward PE licensure through hands-on exposure and mentorship from senior engineers.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of structural engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• EIT certification preferred; PE license a plus.
• Experience designing structures with steel, concrete, masonry or timber.
• Familiarity with ETABS, SAP2000, RAM or RISA.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Understanding of building codes and design standards.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Good communication and willingness to develop professionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for residential, commercial, and other projects.
• Design structural elements using steel, concrete, masonry, or timber.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Support senior engineers on construction, renovation, and existing projects.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors and other disciplines.
• Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs.
• Attend site visits and assist with inspections.
• Use structural software to develop and verify designs.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes and standards.
• Support projects from concept through construction administration.
