Conrad Consulting Ltd in New York City is seeking a Structural Engineer with 4–7 years of experience who will take ownership of projects and work with senior engineers on a diverse range of building structures.

You will be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, from analysis and design through construction administration, with opportunities to work on projects with lasting city-wide impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• 4–10 years of structural engineering experience preferred.
• Experience designing building structures in New York City.
• PE license or progress toward licensure desirable.

Responsabilités

• Perform structural analysis and design for new and existing building projects.
• Design structural systems using steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, timber, and foundation elements.
• Prepare structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Coordinate closely with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and clients.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals during construction.
• Perform site visits, field investigations, and structural assessments as required.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and technical coordination.
• Support junior engineers while continuing to develop your own technical expertise.
• Ensure all work complies with NYC Building Code, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, and other applicable design standards.

We're partnering with a well-established structural engineering consultancy in New York City that is continuing to grow its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Structural Engineer with 4-7 years of experience who enjoys taking ownership of projects while working alongside experienced engineers on a diverse range of building structures.

You'll be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, from structural analysis and design through construction administration, with the opportunity to work on projects that have a lasting impact across the city.

What You'll Be Doing

• Perform structural analysis and design for new and existing building projects
• Design structural systems using steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, timber, and foundation elements

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 4-10 years of structural engineering experience
• Experience designing building structures in New York City
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, timber, and foundation design
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as ETABS, RAM Structural System, SAFE, RISA-3D, or similar
• Experience using Revit and AutoCAD
• PE license or progress toward licensure is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams
• Self-motivated with a desire to continue developing technically and professionally
