Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Active PE license required.

• Experience with MTA, LIRR, Metro-North, NJ TRANSIT, NJTA preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, and structural analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis, design, and engineering calculations for rail and transit infrastructure projects.
• Design and evaluate bridges, stations, platforms, retaining walls, pedestrian structures, and transportation facilities.
• Prepare structural drawings, calculations, specifications, reports, and technical documentation.
• Perform structural assessments and rehabilitation design for existing structures.
• Coordinate structural designs with civil, architectural, MEP, transportation, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Review construction documents, shop drawings, RFIs, and contractor submittals.
• Support field investigations, site inspections, and existing-condition assessments.
• Ensure designs comply with AASHTO, AREMA, NYSDOT, MTA/LIRR, NJ TRANSIT, NJTA, and applicable building codes and standards.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and agency representatives.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support project managers.
